Many a people have discovered themselves as a new person in the groups of debate maintained by the MGM. For this reason, day after day, we have observed a steady growth on the levels of attendance to the CCH. Every week, thematic groups meet to debate questions of the homosexual interest, to exchange ideas, and even flirt. In 2006, the average attendance was 100 youth to the Group of Adolescent Gays and 90 to the Group GLBT, dedicated to gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals over 18.
One of the main objectives of the MGM is to offer a space where homosexuals can meet, chat, acquaint with new people, make friends and have fun, without any sort of discrimination.
The homosexuals form an ample community, with interests and profiles vastly diversified, hence the acronym GLBT. At the MGM, we promote groups of discussion specific to the various denominations that constitute that universe. Each group has a different schedule of weekly meetings, and the themes discussed are freely suggested by the groups’ members.
After the debate, the MGM bar is open for socialisation. It also offers a dance floor, DJ and “drag queen” performances. The CCH is funded with grant obtained from the STD/AIDS State Coordination of the Minas Gerais State Secretary of Health.

Youth: Young homosexuals aged between 14 and 24 meet at the GAC (Group of Gay Adolescents) every Tuesday from 7 p.m. Entrance is free for those who arrive up to 7.30 p.m. After that time, it is charged a R$ 2.00 porter fee at the bar.
Adults: For the over-18, the MGM presents the GLBT meetings. They take place every Thursday, 7 p.m. Entrance is free for the meetings until 7.30 p.m. After that time, it is charged a R$ 3.00 minimum consumption fee, at the bar.
Black: The Group of Black Gays meets every other Friday, alternating with the Group of Lesbians – from 7 p.m. Entrance is free and after the meeting the bar opens for socialisation.
Lesbians: Women who love women are welcome to come and exchange ideas at the GEL (Group of Lesbians), every other Friday – alternating with the black gays - from 7 p.m. Entrance is free and after the meeting the bar opens for socialisation.
